Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."Yes Evil has been in humanity since the garden; but you can't look around and tell me it's not increasing daily. If you can then you have become blinded to your surroundings. I have read in just the last week over a hundred articles of people maliciously killing people and committing suicide.
Over 95% of those articles had some form of reference to demons. You always hear the sayings, "He's never seemed like this before", or "She was always so kind to everyone she met." Over and over the horrible crimes are a complete surprise to all those around. A search on Google for articles of murderers who hear demons comes back with over 100 million hits. Believe what you want but the work of Satan and his followers surrounds us all.
I have personally been witness to people overcome by these forces on more than one occasion. But as a society blinded we have labeled them with the astigmatism of mental illness. Now are these people disturbed in the mind, most assuredly so. But not for the reasons we have come to believe. We pump them full of drugs thinking this will cure them of their condition.
In the bible; several verses tells of the people who will not enter the kingdom of heaven. One of those are those that practice sorcery. The Greek word that Sorcery is translated from is pharmakeia. Or where we get the words used today for Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals. It was the practice of the black arts by ways of administering drugs.
The battle against spiritual forces is as prevalent today; if not more, than it was 2000 years ago. These are just a few of the thousands of articles out there.

When your eyes have been opened you can see the darkness. You can see where it is safe, or where to avoid. Those who have the light of the Father; and those that are so surrounded by darkness they desperately need prayers to the Father.
1 Peter 5:8-9 "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith."
We're in a battle in this world. We may not see it, we might forget it's there. But the enemy would love nothing more than to start our day off with discouragement and defeat, bringing fear and stress. Don't let him win.
Everyone pray for your family, your friends, your town, your country, and our world. Darkness will be conquered but don't think for one second it's not going to substantially increase before Christ returns. Open your eyes and stray from the darkness. Pray unceasingly. Those that are the Father's can live in the hope and faith of his abundant light.
